MEET OUR TEAM
We are on a mission to provide families the support Lisa needed on her own journey as a family caregiver.
In 2005, Lisa’s father was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lymphoma, and her mother was in the early stages of vascular dementia. She assumed the responsibility of family caregiver, learning how to advocate for her father in hospital settings and becoming the full-time caregiver to her mother when her father passed away in 2006. During this period, Lisa’s husband started having mild seizures impacting his short-term memory. Dismissed by neurologists as a seizure disorder, he was diagnosed with Young On-set Alzheimer’s in 2012 at age 63, many years after he started showing symptoms. Her roles as the family caregiver as the child and the spouse provide her with an intimate understanding of the path her clients face. Her personal Alzheimer’s journey has made her an advocate for families facing the same fear, uncertainty, and confusion surrounding the onset of symptoms and the search for senior living options to accommodate a new and different lifestyle.
Jenna joined Gently Guided in 2022 after five years as a housing advocate for homeless senior veterans. In her role as a case manager for a nonprofit veterans service organization, she helped seniors find a safe place to land no matter what the situation was and worked with them to keep their housing. Like Lisa, she has played the role of family caregiver for her mother, sister, and father-in-law.
We are based in Pasadena, and our expertise is placement in the San Gabriel Valley and Greater Los Angeles. We have established connections and experience with virtually every quality care facility in the area. We collaborate with trusted colleagues for senior placements throughout Los Angeles County and are able to connect families to senior placement specialists across the country.
We have a reputation for compassionate and personalized senior placement services, and many families we work with refer us to their friends and family. Families also find us through professional referrals by attorneys, fiduciaries, geriatric care managers, and even other senior care professionals.

We will also connect you with additional resources throughout the process, such as accessing the Veterans Aid & Attendance Benefit, Elder Law Attorneys, Home Care, Home Health, Hospice Companies, Moving Companies, Family Support Groups, and more.
