Frank Cunningham

Elder Care Consultant and Placement Specialist

For the past 8 years, Frank Cunningham has committed himself to what he sees as “soul work” and his life’s mission: helping families place their elders in safe facilities where they can thrive. He finds nothing more rewarding than helping families find what they need.

Transitioning from decades in the banking industry, Frank left behind the world of finance for a vocation that more closely aligned with his gifts, spiritual life, and values—a move that he considers “a godsend.” Initially, he served as a Senior Care Consultant with Care Patrol of San Gabriel Valley.

Later, he partnered with owner Lisa Bricker to co-create Gently Guided, LLC. At Gently Guided, he has helped provide hundreds of families with the care and service they need as a Senior Care Consultant and Placement Specialist.

Families respond to Frank’s patience, open heart, compassion, and responsiveness to their needs. Frank regards their patronage as a relationship, and clients, in turn, feel they are in good hands.

He is well-known in the community and prides himself both on his technical knowledge of the industry and his ability to connect with people. Frank has a Residential Care for the Elderly Certification (RCFE) that he has earned with his deep knowledge of senior care facilities. He knows the right questions to ask to help families find their way through all the complexity and make the best choices for their loved ones.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Counseling Psychology, he provides a well-rounded insight into what families may need as they transition during this difficult time.

A resident of Southern California since 1998, Frank enjoys spending time with his extended family, including his four adult children and eight grandchildren. He serves as president of the MAPS SGV, a local non-profit dedicated to helping local seniors. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Convalescent Aid Society, a free Durable Equipment non-profit in Pasadena which has served the area for nearly a century.

A deeply spiritual man, Frank also leads a Circle of Life group at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena. The group offers emotional support and resources to adult children who have aging parents with changing needs.
